Mera Peak Climbing - 16 Days

Come and climb the highest trekking peak in Nepal with us! This package takes you to the top of Mera Peak, where you will be entranced by one of the best views in all of Nepal. From the summit, we can see several peaks that stretch above the 8000 meter mark: Mount Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8481m), and Kanchenjunga (8586m).  In fact, these are 5 of the 6 highest mountains in the world.  As you reach the top, feeling a rush of ecstasy, you realize how incredible it is to be so close to the highest point on earth.

But this spectacle could not be witnessed without some “preparation,” i.e. trekking along the majestic trails of the Khumbu region.  We start, after a scenic flight from Lukla, by heading to through various small mountain settlements.  These settlements are resided by the Sherpa community, who are known around the world for their hospitality and extraordinary climbing capabilities. We continue ascending, taking our time in order to acclimatize properly.  At the summit of Mera Peak, we will have the most spectacular view of entire Himalayan ranges.Savor your moments up at the top, taking some deep breaths and many photos.

We can then descend back to Lukla and fly to Kathmandu.  Otherwise, there are many options for extending your trip, for example, to Everest Base Camp or Kala Patthar. Let us know if this interests you!

This package is possible for beginners and experts alike.  For both groups, the main difficulty is acclimatization.  However, our schedule is created in such a way that allows for steady acclimatization.  For beginners, you should be relatively physically fit and most importantly, have a strong sense of determination and desire to reach the top. We will arrange all climbing gear for you.

Mera Peak Climbing can be done throughout the year, but the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) offer the best weather.  During the spring, the flowers are blooming, adding color to the trail.  In the fall, the skies are usually clearer. The trek requires moderate fitness. Junket Nepal arranges the trek with complete management. Please, feel free to contact us for more detailed information.
