Mustang Heli Tour - 0 Hours

This one-day helicopter tour takes you into the heart of the Mustang region, to the beloved Muktinath Temple.  Muktinath (3710m) is a revered as a sacred place by both Hindus and Buddhist all over India and Nepal.Muktinath, the god of Salvation, has been a pilgrimage site that thousands and thousands of devotees visit each year to attain the sought-after moksha (liberation) by bathing in the 108 water spouts and two Mukti Kanda (the two bathing pools in front of the temple). For Tibetan Buddhists, Muktinath is an important place of dakinis, goddesses known as Sky Dancers, and is one of the 24 Tantric places. It is beautiful to see the two religions coexisting in harmony.

We leave the Pokhara domestic airport early in the morning for the 45-minute ride to the heli pad at the base of the temple.  It is best to leave early, as the Mustang region is known for its powerful winds that come later in the afternoon. After arriving, we have about an hour to have darshan of MuktinathDham.  We immediately feel the strong spiritual energy of the place as we enter through the gates. Here, we are greeted by sadhus who have walked great distances to be at the sacred temple.  Not only does the temple have spiritual significance, but it is situated in the lap of the great Annapurna range and the heart of the fascinating Mustang region.  Immediately surrounding us are unique rock structures and rolling orange-red hills, while in the distance are snow-capped rugged peaks. After worshipping at the temple, making some memories, and snapping some photos, we board the aircraft and begin our descent. After arriving again at the Pokhara domestic airport, we transfer you to your hotel and look forward to your next adventure with us! Although the itinerary details the trip from Pokhara, we can arrange the tour from Kathmandu as well. Ask us for more details.

You can take our Mustang Heli Tour all throughout the year, but we advise you to come during the spring and fall, as these seasons provide the most suitable weather.  In the spring, you can see the lush, blooming forests down below, while in the fall, the skies are most clear. Ask us for more details. Junket Nepal arranges the flight with complete management. Please, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
